Summer’s Coming — Will Your Business Survive?

School’s almost out.
Schedules are already falling apart.
Your calendar’s packed with field trips, teacher gifts, graduation parties and weddings. (At least mine is)

You’re mentally prepping for having the kids home 24/7.

Every year, this shift hits hard.

You had a decent rhythm going. Maybe even some sales momentum.

Then BAM — end-of-year chaos, fighting over screen time, coordinating playdates like I run a social events business, Target run that ends with popsicles, pool noodles, $200 worth of snacks… and no actual groceries. 😩

You start to think, “Maybe I’ll pause everything and come back in September.”

No, girl, no.

Summer doesn’t have to mean your business disappears.

But you know what will disappear?
Your momentum, if you stop showing up completely.

I learned this the hard way 3 years ago. I “took a break” in June, planning to get back into it in August. It took me until October to get my groove back, and then I missed Black Friday and all the holiday momentum.

The good news?

You don’t need 4 hours of focused work time to stay consistent.

You just need a few tiny but mighty habits that keep your business running — even when your life feels like it's endlessly cleaning your kitchen, sunscreen, and video games.

Let me introduce you to...

My 15-Minute Summer Method

These are the exact steps I use (and teach my clients) to keep sales coming in — even when the routine is gone and the kids are home.

1. Post Something (That Sells)

Don’t just “show up.” Show up with a purpose.

Every day, post one thing that creates curiosity or interest in your product. It doesn’t matter where — Instagram stories, Facebook group, TikTok, email, carrier pigeon — just somewhere.

Here are some easy post ideas that sell:

  • Share why you created your product

  • Share a customer win (screenshots work great)

  • A tip that solves a problem your product helps with

  • Behind-the-scenes look at your results

  • A direct reminder that your product is available — with a link

Keep it casual. Keep it honest. Keep it selling.

Kari's Pro tip: Your hook (the text on the screen or first sentence) matters more than your outfit or what your house looks like. You have to grab their attention. Read this if you want a refresher.

2. Pick One Offer and Stick to It

Summer is not the time for shiny object syndrome. Don’t launch five new things or redo your funnel.

Pick one product and focus on that for the next 8 weeks.

Why it works:

  • You stop wasting time wondering what to sell

  • Your audience actually sees it enough times to finally buy (see quote below)

  • You’ll get better at selling that product by saying it in new ways

It doesn’t have to be fancy. It has to be focused.

So instead of saying, “What should I promote today?”
You’re saying, “What story or post can I share about my one offer today?”

Kari's Pro tip: If your product solves one clear problem and is easy to access (like a download, workshop, or course), it’s a great summer product. Not sure what to sell? Grab my new FREE resource — 567 5-Figure Digital Product Ideas

3. Send One Email a Week

Yes, even in summer. Especially in summer.

You might be off your normal routine, but your audience is still checking their inboxes when they're hiding from their kids in the bathroom.

Your email doesn’t need to be long or perfectly written. It needs three things:

  1. A reminder of who you are

  2. One valuable or entertaining takeaway

  3. A link to your product

That’s it. Keep it human. Be consistent. Keep moving.

Kari's Pro tip: Don’t reinvent the wheel. Repurpose your social media posts. Use your notes app. Set a timer for 15 minutes and hit send.

Don’t Pause Your Business. Find Your Summer Rhythm.

Look… summer isn’t a productivity competition.

But if you want to keep your business alive through June, July, and August — without burnout or mom guilt — this is the way.

Small steps. Tiny wins. One product. One post. One email.

That’s how you stay consistent and stay present with your kids.

Your messy, beautiful, sunscreen, and kiddie-pool life can be profitable! ☀️💦
